Happy Theme Thursday! It’s spring in some parts of the world, which
for many means tidying and redecorating their homes. Today we have a new
free theme to help you do the same for your blog!
Truly Minimal is a clean, modern theme that lives up to its name.
With lots of whitespace, classic typography, a responsive design,
support for post formats, and multiple sidebar placement options, this
theme is perfect for writers, businesses, or anyone who wants a crisp
look for their site.
Theme Options
Choose the placement of your sidebar (Left or Right) in the
Customizer.
You can also select No Sidebar to remove the sidebar entirely for a
wider content area. By default, the sidebar is active and located to the
right of the content area.
Widgets
You can configure one optional sidebar (if enabled in the Theme Options) by going to
Appearance -> Widgets.
Custom Menu
You can assign a custom menu to the primary menu area, located in the header, under
Appearance -> Menus. If no menu is assigned, this area will display your Pages by default.
Custom Header and Background
Personalize Truly Minimal with a flexible-width or -height custom header under
Appearance -> Header, or apply a background color or image by going to
Appearance -> Background.
Full-Width Page Template
If you want to keep the sidebar on your blog but remove it on a page or two, you can use the
Full Width, No Sidebar template, set under
Page Attributes.
