The +1 counter allows you to quickly scan your post list to see which posts are most popular on your blog.
Each time a reader clicks the +1 button underneath a post, it’s
reflected in the counter, and the reader’s Google+ profile photo and
common name appear on your dashboard. You, as the blog author, can see
who's +1'ed your posts by going to your Posts tab, scrolling down the
list, and clicking on the +1 value to see the names and photos of
readers who have recommended your content.
How it works
Once readers click the +1 button on a blog post, a share box pops up so that they have the option to post a snippet of your post to their circles on Google+. Only readers with Google+ profiles will be able to +1 your posts, but everyone will see the option. If a reader doesn’t have Google+ on their account and they click the +1 button, they’ll be prompted to sign up for Google+.How to enable the +1 counter
The +1 counter is automatically enabled on all blogs, and the +1 button for posts is available on all Dynamic Views posts by default. To enable the +1 button on another template:- Click the Layout tab.
- Click Edit in the Blog Posts widget.
- Check Show Share Buttons. Share buttons are only available for public blogs.
