  1. Download the Alexa toolbar (here). The toolbar is quite useful to keep track of your sites ranking.
  2. Submit articles about what's on your site/blog to directories. The better the PR/Alexa ranking of your site, the more your site sticks out in searches.
  3. Do whatever you can to keep getting more people to your site. Ask people online/offline to share their input. Good examples are: friends on social sites/games/forums.
  4. Try auto traffic exchanges. They can get your site ranked, and it doesn't make you click on every site. However, your traffic won't be of quality.
  5. Offer the best information you can think of while writing to others. This pays off since it's the only way to get peoples attention.
  6. Check high ranking sites in Alexa. Find ones you can get a way to include your sites link on. Link to the best traffic sites and you will jump in rank.
